In 2001, Amy Nichols left her sales career in telecommunications to pursue her dream of owning a dog daycare. With the support of her new husband, Michael, she ventured forth in the planning and creation of Happy Tails Dog Spa, which later became Dogtopia® Daycare & Spa.
 Amy has always been involved with animals, particularly dogs, since a very young age. She showed her Brittany Spaniel in obedience trials, and went on to work at a pet store for 4 years. Her plans to go to veterinary school were derailed at the University of Maryland (too much fun perhaps) and she decided to pursue the burgeoning telecommunications industry instead.
But it is hard to deny your passion, so Amy came back to what she loves, working with dogs! She is currently training her Boston Terrier, Griffin, and her large "rescue dog" Bodhi, in agility and general obedience.
Dogtopia's goal is to be a central location for dog lovers - with a professional grooming salon to help your dog look their best, a boutique carrying hard to find and exclusive dog items, a spa with a self-serve dog wash, and of course, the daycare, where your dog can have the time of his life - every day if you so choose.

Dog Daycare Staff:
Position involves managing the daycare playrooms. Responsibilities include supervising the dogs for appropriate play and maintaining a safe and clean environment. We have two shifts available: 7am - 3pm (our morning shift) or 1pm - 8pm (our afternoon shift). Please note that we are not hiring temporary or summer help.
Dog Groomer:
We currently have an opening for a professional groomer at our North Bethesda salon. Schedule is flexible, minimum of five years experience is required.
