Whether your dog's first play date is just for the day or a one week vacation, keep this information in mind and it's sure to be a time that keeps your dog's tail wagging!

Daycare 101

• Ask the staff for a first day recommendation. Every dog has their own personality and each day's playgroup can be a little different. For instance, if your dog is very small, there may be certain days of the week when we see more small dogs for them to play with.
• Consider dropping your dog off early in the morning. This will allow them to become comfortable in the playroom and introduce themselves to dogs as they enter, as opposed to meeting everyone at once.
• Do not become concerned if your dog relieves themselves in the playroom. This is not a behavior we have seen translated to their home lives. Dogtopia doesn't look or smell anything like your home, so the dogs are able to understand that different rules apply. Our playrooms are outfitted with sealed, rubber flooring and sanitized with a food-safe bleach. Cleanliness and safety are our top priorities.
• We invite you to view our live webcams to check in on your dog during the day! Please be aware that cameras are inactive during naptime hours and because of the size of our rooms, the entire room may not be visible. If you do not see your dog, wait a few minutes and check again. They may just be off-camera at that time.
