Custom Canine Training

Custom Canine Training, founded in 1979 by Allison McDorman, is a specialty dog training company that focuses on helping people and their canine companions to understand and communicate with each other. Allison is a Certified Exotic Animal Trainer and has used that experience to develop her unique dog handling methodology.

Cindy's experience as a volunteer service dog trainer and her education in dog psychology is a perfect complement to Allison. Together their style focuses on training from the dog's point of view and gives them the unique ability to virtually train any dog.

We are a privately owned and operated company that is dedicated to providing personalized quality dog training to our clients. Our humane approach to training is designed to insure that dogs become and remain part of the family unit, and provide a lifetime of loyalty and companionship. All training is done with positive behavior modification techniques and of course, lots and lots of love. We provide both group and private dog training, depending on the needs and preference of the individual client.

Our Dogtopia dog day care training is a convenient way to meet the demands of a busy schedule while providing for a dog's need for socialization and obedience. Both "Train and Play" and "Board and Train" programs are offered.

At Sit Means Sit Dog Training, we strive to make every training experience enjoyable and educational for people and dogs alike. Our mission is to provide training programs that result in a happy, confident and obedient dog, as well as a happy, confident and satisfied owner.

We specialize in controlling: Jumping up, nuisance barking, running away, destructive behavior, separation anxiety, leash pulling, soiling the house, nipping & chewing, aggression and other annoyances.

Upon completing our program, you will confidently:
- Walk your dog off leash.
- Call your dog and be rewarded with immediate obedience.
- Gain control while still showing your affection.
