Cathy and Kevin Burke have believed in the Dogtopia concept since day one. Their beautiful white German Shepard, Kita, attended the first Dogtopia in Tyson's Corner, VA for years. They immediately noticed a positive change in her demeanor after her play dates and fell in love with the Dogtopia philosophy. Each dog is treated as the unique individual they are and spend their days socializing in open play groups as opposed to separated in kennels. Their experiences sparked the inspiration to open their own dog daycare and as soon as Dogtopia began franchising, Cathy and Kevin jumped at the chance to relocate from Virginia to St. Petersburg, Florida and purse their dream.

The Burke's look forward to having a "family" business in every sense of the word. Their son TJ currently resides in the Tampa area as an Operations Manager, and will "join" the team, becoming an integral part of managing the business. Cathy, Kevin and two and a half year old daughter Kayleigh will relocate to Florida, residing in beautiful St. Petersburg.
