After 6 years living and working in the Washington, D.C. area, Nicholle Reisdorff felt it was time to return to her Midwestern roots. She left her career as a researcher in the federal court system and settled in Omaha, NE.
Soon after, her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to investigate opening her own business. She'd seen dog daycare facilities in Washington, D.C., but was surprised there weren't more options in the Omaha area.
She began researching her options online and came across the Dogtopia franchise. She'd heard of Dogtopia before, but had no idea they were a franchise. She was thrilled to learn she could open the very first store in Nebraska. After meeting with the Dogtopia franchise team and touring their headquarters, Nicholle was sure it was the perfect fit!
Nicholle is the happy mom of Pete, a hound mix, who loves going to the off leash dog park near Walnut Creek Lake and can often be spotted riding along in the car on errands. She jokingly refers to him as her "first born". Pete acts as an inspiration each day as Nicholle looks forward to providing peace of mind to other dog parents; knowing their dogs are in a safe, happy place while they are away at work or on vacation.
Nicholle lives in the Papillion area of Omaha with her husband Tony, an industrial technology teacher, and her son, Seth. To learn more, visit her blog.
