 About Us
After spending 14 years as a finance manager, assisting other entrepreneurs fulfill their business needs, David Sportelli decided it was time to branch out into his own business. But it was more than simply owning a business; David wanted a venture he could truly be passionate about.
After reading an article featuring the Dogtopia concept and visiting the headquarters in North Bethesda, MD, David knew it was a perfect fit for his love of dogs! He also felt the upscale nature of the service and focus on community involvement would be well received in the New Haven County area.
An active member of the Guilford community for 10 years, David acts as a mentor to youths in the Guilford Public School System and looks forward to participating in community events and the Chamber of Commerce. His wife of 26 years, Cinde, and their daughter Sarah look forward to making Dogtopia a true family business. One member of the family is especially excited... Beau, their 8 year Golden Retriever. After years of eagerly anticipating David's return home each day, he'll be able to jump in the car with dad for a fun day of play at Dogtopia!

Dog Daycare Staff:
Position involves managing the daycare playrooms. Responsibilities include supervising the dogs for appropriate play and maintaining a safe and clean environment. We have two shifts available: 7am - 3pm (our morning shift) or 1pm - 8pm (our afternoon shift). Please note that we are not hiring temporary or summer help.
