Regular Viewer

1.  When I try to view the webcams using the Regular Viewer, I am not able to see any video.

In order to view our webcams with the Regular Viewer, you must have Java installed on your machine. If you are not sure if you have Java installed, or if need to download a copy, visit www.java.com.

.

2.  I am using a Mac, and I cannot see the webcams.

We recommend Mac users view the webcams in Safari with the Regular Viewer. You will need to have Java installed on your system.

Advanced Viewer

In order to use the Higher Quality Viewer, you must have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher with Direct X 9.0 or higher installed on your machine. Get Direct X free from Microsoft. For additional help, don't hesitate to call OnlineDoggy at 303-805-4034.

The first time you log onto the Higher Quality Viewing, you will need to install Active X Controls to uncompress the video stream. Online Doggy states that this is safe to install and will not cause a damage to your machine. Follow the steps below to install these files:

1.  Highlight the following web page address, right click and select Copy.

4.  Click OK or Close to exit out of the open window. Back on the Advanced Viewer page, select the Refresh button. You will see 1 or 2 windows similar to the following:

Go ahead and select Install. Again, these are perfectly safe to install onto your machine.

5.  After done installing, click the Refresh button once more, select start viewing and enjoy. If you still experience difficulties, please call OnlineDoggy at 303-805-4034.

(Note: Some firewalls may not allow you to install software or run Active content. Please check with your network administrator to see if this is the case. If so, you should still be able to enjoy using the Regular Viewer.)

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Why are the webcams off?

Our webcams are on 7 days a week, during regular daycare play times. We turn the camera off during feedings, naptimes, and overnights to allow the dogs time to rest.

2.  The webcams are on, but the room is empty.

Every play group has regular outside play time.

3.  I can't see my dog.

Each webcam has a limited view of our large play rooms. At times, dogs may be out of the camera's range.
