About Us
Proud owner of Dogtopia of Bayonne, Elise Tomczak is realizing a lifelong dream with her partner, Donna Ostrowski, who will manage the facility.  They share a passion for animals and after establishing an in-home pet care company for animals of all kinds and volunteering with a local organization, Companion Animal Rescue & Education, they both felt there was more they could do for the local canine community. One area they felt was drastically underserved was daily daycare. Their online research lead them to Dogtopia®. They were immediately attracted to the upscale appeal of the model and were thrilled at the community outreach efforts.
Donna has been working with animals since she was a child and always knew it would be a terrific career for her. Elise has worked in the health care industry for 20 years. They met in 2004 when Donna began caring for Elise's dog Hudson. They soon learned they shared this passion for dogs and think it's simply destiny that a dog caused them to meet.
Donna and Elise currently reside together in Bayonne, NJ with their 2 Basset Hounds Dexter and Ruffo, 4 cats, a bird and a fish. They can truly empathize with pet parents who seek the very best care for their pets when they are on vacation or at work. They both look forward to providing that care and peace of mind for all their 4-legged customers and their parents!
Dexter's Bio:
My pet tail has a very happy ending to a sad beginning. My two food slaves and paw-rents, Donna & Elise adopted me and now I have them as my two humans plus a Basset brother Ruffo, and reside with 4 cats and a bird and we are one big happy family. I love hugs & kisses and belly rubs (never get enough). My favorite snacks are carrots and popcorn! I love outdoor activities but when I'm indoors I love howlin' to some music so I can twist and wiggle. Some of my favorites are Snoop Dogg and Lil Bow Wow. I am also a toy king and enjoy chasing balls and frisbees. I enjoy taking naps on the lounge chair where I snore very loudly and dream of going to all the places that I have never gone before. My goal in life is to become the Dogtopia poster pin up hound!
Ruffo's Bio:
I am a adopted pampered pup and owned by two food slaves & paw-rents Donna & Elise. I have a fellow hound brother Dexter; as well as 4 cat & bird siblings and we love to snuggle together. Life is a simple affair to me: Eat, sleep, play with an occasional nap in the sun. I love getting dressed up and have an outfit for every occasion. I love eating carrots but when my urban hunting instincts take charge, I go to the bagel store. I love getting acupuncture as I watch TV to enjoy my favorite shows like animal planet and Lassie. I am a real sweet charmer and drool is so cool with me! I look forward to greeting all fellow hounds at Dogtopia and hounding it up!

Dog Daycare Staff:
Position involves managing the daycare playrooms. Responsibilities include supervising the dogs for appropriate play and maintaining a safe and clean environment. We have two shifts available: 7am - 3pm (our morning shift) or 1pm - 8pm (our afternoon shift). Please note that we are not hiring temporary or summer help.
